Özet

The Southeast Anatolia Region is one of the seven geographical regions of Turkey. The surface area of the region is 75561 km2 and the population is approximately 9 million by determination period of 2015. South-eastern Anatolia Region is a terrestrial climate region. The winter season has the formation of the greatest amount of precipitation and the presence of wide flats in the region, which is a great advantage for agriculture, whereas the very dry period of summer affects negatively agricultural production. It is also affected by drought in the reservoirs used for energy production and agricultural irrigation in the region. In this study, completion of missing data performed for necessary data of drought index study in further time periods. Meteorological data of 9 cities located in Southeast Anatolia Region were used in the study. There are 22 meteorological stations in 9 cities stations which twenty-one of these stations are active. Some of meteorological stations in towns do not have sufficient data. On the other hand, some of meteorological stations has stared new measuring method in 2012. For this reason, some of data of series could not be obtained for least 30-year data for drought index analysis. Monthly data of total precipitation, monthly maximum temperature, monthly average temperature and monthly minimum temperature was used for the period of 1959-1916.Data of missing data stations were tried to be complete from the data receiving from other nearest district stations including the station of research town. But, when missing data was observed at these stations, then data were collected from the stations of neighbour cities to missing data station. Researching for relevant data, for missing data stations, were prepared into consider the past data conformity of nearest stations. The arithmetic mean of the data represent were calculated and missing data completed. For this content, there was serious missing data for Sirnak station and completion of missing data was not performed this station. There was not missing data for Diyarbakir Station. Moreover, 7 missing data of precipitation were completed for 2 others stations. As for temperature data, 24 missing data of maximum temperature for 7 stations and 29 missing data of average temperature for 7 stations and 24 missing data of average temperature for7 stations were completed.
