Özet

The design and implementation of a novel electromagnetic energy harvester have been reported. The system consists of two spherical neodymium magnets in a transparent plastic tube, and two serially connected windings are wounded on the tube on its two sides. This system is designed mainly for the conversion of kinetic energy (i.e., mechanical vibration of a human being) to electrical energy. When a mechanical vibration occurs in the axial direction of the harvester, magnets move according to Newton's law of inertia to create an electromotive force (emf) between the ends of the system. The preliminary findings from the experiments prove that the harvester can generate up to U_rms = 23.33mVrms voltage and P_rms = 0.54 mWrms power with f = 20 Hz vibration frequency under the electrical load R_L = 1Ω . The designed and implemented device can be used to meet the energy requirements of portable technological devices such as smart sensors, smart watches, etc.
