Prioritizing early prevention and assessment approaches
of neurobehavioral methods in occupational health and
safety. The new name reflects a broader perspective
development aimed to enhance the contributions of the
current and next generation of researchers and experts, to
carry the legacy from the previous distinguished members
of the committee.
Our committee is focused on building partnerships in
neurobehavioral research to promote the awareness and
knowledge of global occupational health, safety, and wellbeing,
with a special interest in brain health. Key topics
include developing and utilizing new and global tools and
methods; capacity-building activities such as training,
workshops, and webinars; and fostering international and
regional communication and cooperation for research on
neurobehavioral aspects.
For the upcoming term, we invited members of ICOH to
encourage early career researchers to join our committee,
and create sub-work groups on target populations,
exposures, and outcome intervention aimed to produce
scientific information in the field of neurobehavioral
sciences. NEUROH will focus on different aspects such
as aging, sleep, sensory functions, ADHD, memory, etc.,
and additional wellbeing indicators related to the work
environment. Capacity-building and research based training
activities hand-in-hand with colleagues from low- and
middle-income countries will be one of our priorities,
alongside integrating neurobehavioral methods with
other health outcomes such as biomarkers and exposure
measurements.
