Bu çalışmada ortaokul öğrencilerinin zaman ve kronolojiyi algılama becerilerini yordayacak ve bu konuya ilişkin kapsamı temsil edecek sayıda madde ile geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçek geliştirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda ilgili alanyazın ve uzman görüşleri neticesinde ölçek maddeleri oluşturulmuştur. 4’lü Likert tipinde hazırlanan aday ölçek maddeleri 2022-2023 eğitim öğretim yılı 2. döneminde Uşak ilinde öğrenim görmekte olan toplam 514 ortaokul öğrencisine uygulanmıştır. Yapılan AFA neticesinde 5 faktörlü ve 21 maddeden oluşan yapıya ulaşılmıştır. Ölçekten alınabilecek en düşük puan 21 iken en yüksek puan 84’tür. Ölçeğin geneline ilişkin Cronbach’s Alpha katsayısı .87 olarak hesaplanmıştır. Öte yandan açıklanan toplam varyans %50,79 düzeyindedir. AFA sonucunda elde edilen yapı DFA ile doğrulanmıştır. Analizler neticesinde elde edilen ölçeğin ortaokul öğrencilerinin zaman ve kronolojiyi algılama beceri düzeylerini ölçmek için kullanılabilecek geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçme aracı olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
In this study, it was aimed to develop a valid and reliable scale that would predict the time and chronology perception skills of secondary school students and the number of items that would represent the scope of this subject. For this purpose, the scale items were developed based on the relevant literature and expert opinions. The candidate scale items prepared in 4-point Likert type were applied to a total of 514 secondary school students studying in Uşak province in the 2nd semester of 2022-2023. As a result of the EFA, a structure consisting of 5 factors and 21 items was reached. While the lowest score that can be obtained from the scale is 21, the highest score is 84 points. Cronbach's Alpha coefficient for the overall scale was calculated as .87. On the other hand, the total variance explained was 50.79%. The structure obtained as a result of EFA was confirmed with CFA. It was concluded that the scale obtained as a result of the analysis is a valid and reliable measurement tool that can be used to measure the time and chronology perception skill levels of secondary school students.
