Abstract
In submitting to make the spirit of technology absolute, life is degraded, or to use
Marcel’s term desacralized. The more the concept of sacredness is denied in man
the more he will be manifulated and treated as a machine. A reduction of man to
an object, a machine, a unit of production is the slavery of the twentieth century; a
slavery of the technocratic order.
