Abstract

The Minstrel Literature, accepted as having taken its sources from the minstrelsy custom and Islam culture, is a folk literature branch which has succeeded in entering to all parts of the Turkish land, from the big cities to the most deserted villages. This literature developing and growing rich in time has maintained its existence until today even if it has lost its strength because of the changes in the social life after 19th century.
