Özet

The neurological and behavioral effects of exposure to organic solvents are critical topics in occupational health and safety (OHS) research. This chapter provides an exploratory review supported by BERTopic, focusing on the methodology of Neurobehavioral assessments to identify and detect early stages of Solvent-induced neurotoxicity. Standardized tools, such as the World Health Organization’s Neurobehavioral Core Test Battery (NCTB) and computer-based systems, are employed for comprehensive assessments. Measuring cognitive and behavioral parameters like memory, attention, psychomotor performance, and mood is vital for early diagnosis workers exposed to organic solvents. This section emphasizes the role of neurobehavioral testing in both scientific and regulatory contexts, highlighting its importance in occupational health surveillance and policy-making in OHS. Recent Studies have demonstrated the utility of neuropsychological tests in detecting subtle cognitive impairment associated with chronic solvent exposure. Additionally, advancements in computer-based assessment tools have enhanced the precision and reliability of these evaluations.
