Özet

Abstract

Microbial fuel cells are system that provide wastewater treatment and electricity generation through exoelectrogen bacteria. The development of these systems also provide benefits such as resource recovery through bioelectrochemical remediation. Microbial fuel cells are used for various purposes such as wastewater treatment, electricity generation, energy conservation and energy conversion. It can be said that microbial fuel cells are one of the most emphasized alternative energy sources recently. While energy is consumed in the conventional wastewater treatment systems, energy is produced in microbial fuel cells with wastewater treatment. These systems are recognized as a promising technology to solve both environmental problems and energy needs. This study, it is aimed to reveal the effect of the performance parameters of microbial fuel cells. It is clear that with the development of these parameters, high power efficiency will be obtained in the future studies.
