Özet

The art of puppet which is of universal quality has been a means of education, culture and entertainment and has also enriched especially the fancy world of the children since it came into being. This art has also been appreciated by the Anatolian people, and penetrated into their houses in order to entertain the children in particular, and consequently, the puppet artists have captured the hearts of all these spectators. The puppet which functions as a significant children's theatre in some of the European countries, has also been influential on Turkish people. The Turkish people who not only prefer watching the puppet show as a kind of children entertainment, but also benefit from this traditional form of drama as a cultural animation. The puppet show has become a form of attraction because it appeals to every kind of customer for most companies dealing with tourism business and restaurants in Ankara, Antalya and Mersin frequently. In this way, they increase the number of their customers, and contribute to the popularity of the puppet art.
