Abstract:

In today's world, been experiencing a massive competitiveness in all fields; businesses exert an intensive effort to maximize their profits, to grow healthy and to stay permanently in the market. When it's considered that the interdependence of companies and the fact that the input of a business is actually the output of another business, the companies producing goods in high quality have consistent and stable supplier networks. In an intensive competitive world of commerce, businesses are tried to influence by subjective marketing techniques and the managers directing decision making progress in companies are forced to take decisions according to subjective criteria. This study aims to both eliminate the corrosive effect of competition by ensuring the decision makers rely on the objective criteria and reach a decision making mechanism that obtains the right and accurate decisions in a short time. In this study, the pricing process of the supplier of an institution in purchasing activities is analyzed and a supplier selection and evaluation method which aims to increase customer satisfaction and keep competitiveness among suppliers is applied by using PROMETHEE ranking method. In this thesis, the probable feedbacks about the firm's weaknesses are determined as a conclusion of bargains with suppliers. The institutions try to increase customer satisfaction and keep competitiveness among suppliers by minimizing economic losses comes from inadequate evaluation of suppliers and subjective evaluations in decision making process.
