Abstract:

This study deals with the traditional residence of Kozyaka Village in Seben district of Bolu province. The aim of the study is to document the examples of civil architecture in Kozyaka Village, to determine the positive and negative effects of interventions and add-ons, in line with the possibilities and environmental values of the study area, it is to make general intervention decisions in order to ensure the continuity of the traditional life style and cultural heritage with the sustainable tourism types of the region. In the study, in the scope of the documentation of Kozyaka Village, studies were carried out in the whole area and in individual structures by using on-site detection and analysis methods. In the first part of the eight-part study including introduction and conclusion sections, the aim, scope, limitations of the thesis and the methods used in the study are explained. In the second section, conservation and rural areas in the world with the concept of conservation and the development of these concepts in the historical process in Turkey was examined. In the third chapter, the physical, social and historical structure of the district of Seben is mentioned and in the fourth section the physical and socioeconomic status of the study area is explained and the architectural features of the structures in the village are discussed. In the fifth chapter, the general evaluation is made and the properties of the houses are determined according to the architectural values and the areas to be protected, evaluated and arranged are divided. In the sixth chapter, planning of sustainable tourism types was made by offering new functions to the buildings in line with the tourism potential of the study area. In the seventh chapter, intervention decisions for transportation, infrastructure, area, designated sub-regions and structures were given and new construction conditions were determine
