Abstract:The deaths resulting from occupational accidents and occupational diseases in recent years and their wide coverage in written and visual media have raised the importance of occupational health and safety. For this reason, it has become mandatory for the government and employer to take effective measures in this regard. As a result of the Occupational Health and Safety Law No:6331, which enacted on July 1, 2012, the main principles related to reducing the loss of life as a result of an occupational accident and diseases and reducing the additional cost resulting from these, were determined and procedures and principles were established with secondary legislation. In this context; it is the first risk assessment comes to mind when it comes to occupational health and safety. With the risk assessment, it is determined by the enterprises before accidents and diseases and necessary measures are taken. These views, which are demonstrated by the proactive approach, help to prevent work peace and loss between employers, workers and the state. In this study; The historical development of the importance of occupational health and safety, risk analysis methods and the application of sample risk assessment with the 3T Risk Assessment method of Gazi University Technology Faculty Manufacturing Engineering Department Application Workshops and the measures to be taken were examined. As a result of the risk assessment, the overall safety index of the workshops is 87,07% and the module security will be useful in terms of health by taking the measures mentioned in modules A, B, D, F, H, I and K and will be useful in terms of health and safety. It is evaluated that it will rise to a higher level.
