The present study is aimed at examining the Health-related quality of life according to the different variables in the students studying in the school of physical education and sport. Survey model was used in this study. The universe of the study contains students studying in the school of physical education and sport, in the academic year 2012-2013 at the Gazi University that they were 1685 (224 females, 302 males). The sample of the study is 526 physical education and sport students (224 females, 302 males) receiving education in the school of physical education and sport at the Gazi University, who were chosen randomly. Personal information form that it was made by the researcher and SF-36 Health-related quality of life scale that was made by Ware and Sherbourne and was translated by Koçyiğit and her colleague in 1999 to Turkish language have been used as data gathering instrument. Independent t test, Pearson Correlation Analysis, and One-Way Analysis of Variance (Anova) were used for analyzing the data. Tukey test was used in order to determine the source of difference at the end of variance analysis. Study results indicate that male students in the scores of Energy/fatigue, Social functioning, Pain, and General health scales compared with female students are significantly high. In related to class variable, second class has significantly high score in General health in comparison with first class. Recreation education program students in Energy/fatigue, Emotional well-being, Social functioning, andPain scales have significant high scores in comparison with the other three education programs. Relation between the Health-related quality of life scales and grade point average was not found statistically significant. However, there were significant positive relations between scales of the Health related quality of life. The differences in Health-Related Quality of Life scales for education program and class variables could be results of the differences among study courses, and also, the future job related to each education program. The worry about future vocation may affect the physical activity, and decreases it. Overall, sport and physical education could improve the Health related quality of life in students.
