Abstract:
During the Covid-19 Pandemic period, we faced to face with educational problems as well as many subjects. In order not to disrupt education, the distance education model has been switched on. As in many academical institutions that provide applied training, there has not been enough time to study methodology in the transition to distance education in architectural education. This situation caused the training model to be based on experimental methods. This study includes a review on these experimental methods. Within the scope of this review; this research starts with the development of architectural education in the historical process, continues by examining the tools and methods used with the introduction of distance education into our lives and ends with the recommendations reached as a result of the data obtained during the field study.On the basis of architectural education, specific to architectural basic education; According to the consequences obtained as a result of the evaluations made about the tools and methods used in distance education, in the distance education period, which passed in a short time and without a wide methodology study; Although positive results have been achieved about the aims of architectural basic education applied as a result of the conceptual bases, it has been seen that it is not possible to say the same thing about the products obtained. In line with the results obtained in this context, some suggestions have been made about how distance education will work in architectural basic education.
