Abstract:

The district of Sivrihisar has preserved the unique qualities of its urban texture until today. Sivrihisar encompasses traditional and new urban textures together. This study is aimed to analyze the urban texture and traditional houses in the public, semi-public and private areas which are spatial usage with the shape grammar which is the rule-based analysis method. The city was resolved in the context of architectural language and the rules of formation were drawn. The relationship between the urban elements in the traditional and new city, which is the continuation of each other, has been abstracted and analyzed with the form grammar in order to determine the fictional rules as a whole. The comparison of the traditional and new city doctrine was aimed at analyzing the fiction that shapes the city. Science
