Abstract:
In the study, 178 Erzincan folk songs in TRT folk music repertoire were examined in terms of their rhythmical and musical structures. This is a descriptive research and in the research, content analysis method that is one of the qualitative researches was used. The datas of the research were obtained by literature reviewing method. The target population of the study is Erzincan folk songs and the sample of the study is Erzincan folk songs in the TRT repertoire. Rhytmical structures, modes, tonic, and volume sonores of the folk songs were examined and the results were presented and interpreted with tables and diagrams. According to the data gathered at the and of these examinations, a major part of Erzincan folk songs are UĢĢak and Hüseyni mode. Rhytmic structures vary and they can be expressed with mode scale in terms of Turkish folk song education. Key Words : Erzincan, Music, Scale, Mode.
