Abstract:Students spend their free times efficiently with the activities out of lesson in educational institutions. Among the activities out of lesson, activities of trackering has more importance than other activities. Activities of trackering are performed in open air under the supervision of a leader. Scouts maintain these activities actively with their own peer groups, other groups of scouts and with their leader. The students that participate in the activities should have adequate information and knowledge about the methods of trackering and its practices. In the works it is researched that participation rate of primary school students into the activities of trackering, their level of knowledge and their own views about the practices of trackering . The research contains the students of primary school that participates in the activities of trackering units. According to the results achieved from the research, it is seen that students have basic concepts of trackering (oath of scout and its traditions) and sufficient ability. It is determined that scouts of primary school have also technical information that will be learned in older ages (technical traces – knots of scouts). It is determined that administration of schools provide adequate facilities for the activities of trackering and these activities of trackering which are the out of lesson have positive effects on the students. Activities are performed efficiently and these affect their lessons positively. Consequently; it has been determined that the students participating in the activities have basic knowledge and application level relevant to scouting activities, and, activities were beneficial for the students, and activities have had positive impact upon students’ education and social lives.
