Dr. Asim Ahmadov is an orthopedic surgery resident at Gazi University Hospital's Orthopaedics and Trauma Department. He completed his early education in Baku, Azerbaijan, from 2001 to 2013, and in 2013, he earned a scholarship to study medicine in English at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University. During his medical training, Asim participated in several international exchange programs, including a general surgery rotation in Stavropol, Russia (2014), an orthopedics rotation in Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina (2016), and an Erasmus internship in Graz, Austria (2019).
Since beginning his orthopedic residency at Gazi University in 2021, Asim has developed a broad range of professional interests. These include arthroplasty, arthroscopy, trauma surgery, hand surgery, 3D modeling, preoperative planning, medical illustrations, and statistics, in which he is actively involved both clinically and in research.
