The research was planned to examine the conscious awareness levels of pre-school teacher candidates and the factors affecting their awareness levels. In the research, survey model and decision tree model were used. The study group consisted of 103 pre-school teacher candidates studying at Gazi University and Ondokuz Mayıs University in the 2021-2022 academic year. “General Information Form” and “Scale of Conscious Awareness in Teaching” were used to collect data. Descriptive statistics, Mann-Whitney U Test, Kruskal-Wallis H Test and CHAID algorithm were used in the analysis. As a result of the research, it was seen that the levels of intrapersonal mindfulness and mindfulness in teaching of the pre-service teachers who like the department they study are significantly higher than the levels of mindfulness in teaching and mindfulness in teaching of the pre-service teachers who do not like the department they are studying. In addition, it was determined that the interpersonal mindfulness levels of the pre-service teachers who spent 8 hours or more with the children during the internship were significantly higher than the interpersonal mindfulness levels of the pre-service teachers who spent 4-7 hours with the children during the internship. It was observed that gender did not make a significant difference in the level of mindfulness of teacher candidates in teaching. The conscious awareness levels of teacher candidates who graduated from high schools other than vocational and technical Anatolian high schools and loved the department they studied; On the other hand, it was observed that the pre-service teachers whose mothers are secondary school graduates and love the department they are studying have a high level of self-conscious awareness.
