The aim of this research was to examine the effectiveness of the Pivotal Response Teaching (PRT), developed for supporting social communication skills in children with ASD, on expressive language skills of three children with ASD who have no expressive language skills. A multiple baseline design across subjects was used to assess expressive language skills in three children with ASD. Visual analysis of collected data suggests that the introduction of PRT resulted in increases in the children’s expressive language skills, but significant differences were observed among subjects with regard to the acquisiton of expressive language skills.
