He was born in 1982 in Sivas. He completed his primary, secondary, and high school
education in the same city. He pursued his undergraduate (2000-2005), master’s (2005-
2007), and doctoral (2007-2012) studies at Gazi University, Faculty of Education, Department
of Foreign Language Education, Division of Arabic Language Education. After
working as a research assistant in the same department (2005-2015), he was appointed
as an assistant professor to the Department of Arabic Translation and Interpreting at Gazi
University’s Faculty of Letters. Between 2013 and 2014, he fulfilled his military service
as a reserve officer at the Land Forces Language School. In 2019, he became an associate
professor in the Department of Arabic Translation and Interpreting at Ankara Hacı Bayram
Veli University’s Faculty of Letters. At the same university, he served as the founding
director of the School of Foreign Languages, director of the Mediterranean Basin and
African Civilizations Research and Application Center, a senate member, and a member
of the education commission. He has been a board member of the African Handicrafts
and Culture House Association since its establishment. In 2023, he became a professor
in the Division of Arabic Language Education at Gazi University’s Faculty of Education,
Department of Foreign Language Education. He has authored numerous books, articles,
papers, and translations in his field. He is married and has two children.
