Hosted by the Department of City and Regional Planning at Gazi University, this international conference is organized to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Gazi University.
The conference aims to bring together scholars, practitioners, policymakers, and civil society actors to discuss how accessibility, active mobility, and neighborhood-based planning can contribute to more inclusive, livable, and sustainable cities.
In response to growing inequalities in access to urban opportunities, the event will emphasize neighborhood-scale planning, everyday mobility, and context-sensitive approaches that put people and daily life at the center. By integrating the principles of Chrono-Urbanism, it will also highlight how time shapes accessibility, daily rhythms, and the fair distribution of temporal resources in the city.
Special Project Sessions
The conference will host dedicated sessions and presenting the results of the EU-funded AccessCity4All project, supported under the Driving Urban Transitions (DUT) Partnership. These sessions will explore how the 15-Minute City concept can be adapted to support active mobility in neighborhoods with different levels of accessibility, drawing on comparative international research.

The conference program will include keynote lectures, thematic panels, site visits, project-based sessions and roundtable discussions. The official language of the conference is English, and no translation services will be provided. The conference will be held exclusively in person, with no online or hybrid participation options. The congress registration is free; there will be quota for Turkish participants. The Book of Abstracts will be published online, and full paper submission for Gazi University Journal of Science Part B: Art, Humanities, Design and Planning will be optional.

Ankara’daki üniversitelerin İç Mimarlık, Mimarlık, Peyzaj, Planlama öğrencilerinin Ankara odaklı stüdyo çalışmalarından oluşan, “Geçmişten Geleceğe Ankara” temalı serginin açılışı 13 Ekim 2021 Saat 1'de Ankara Kent Konseyi Sergi Salonunda yapılacaktır.
Kalecik Atölyemizin Yavaş Kent Senaryosu paftalarını görebileceğiniz sergi Aralık ayına kadar açık kalacaktır.

Bölge Planlama Bölümü 2020-2021 Bahar Dönemi İkinci Sınıf Şehircilik
Stüdyosunda bu yıl Kalecik ilçe merkezi çalışılmaktadır. Bu kapsamda Bahar
dönemi sonunda öğrenciler grup çalışması olarak 1/1000-1/500 ölçekte Kentsel
Tasarım Projeleri hazırlamaktadır. Bu doğrultuda etkinliğin amacı öğrencilerin kentsel
tasarım sürecinin sonuç çalışması olan Kentsel Tasarım Projelerinin sergilenmesi
hedeflenmektedir. Sergi Artsteps programından yararlanılarak hazırlanmıştır. Linki:
Gazi Üniversitesi Şehir ve Bölge Planlama Bölümü 2020-2021 Güz Dönemi İkinci 1. Şube Sınıf Şehircilik Stüdyosunda bu yıl Ankara’nın Kalecik ilçe merkezi çalışılmaktadır. Öğrenciler altı farklı senaryo grubu kapsamında Tarım Temelli Kent, Ekoturizm, Yavaş Kent, Ekokent, Spor Kenti, Kültür Sanat Kenti olmak üzere çalışmalarını sürdürmektedir. Bu doğrultuda öğrencilerin planlama süreci ve sonuç çalışması olan Nazım İmar Planlarının sergilenmesi hedeflenmektedir. Bu çalışma kentlerde hizmet arzının temel aktörü olan belediyelerin; pek çok farklı kullanıcı grubuna, farklı kentsel sektörlerde sundukları hizmetin niteliğini artırmak amacıyla gerçekleştirilmektedir.
