Fatma Ülkü Kavruk, PhD, is a lecturer at the School of Foreign Languages at Gazi University, Türkiye. She holds a PhD in Translation and Cultural Studies. Her research interests include literary translation, fictional languages, cultural neologisms, cultural translation, and the use of generative artificial intelligence in translation. Her doctoral research examined the Turkish and German translations of cultural neologisms in fictional languages and proposed the Cultural Neology Transcreation Model. Her current research focuses on the interaction between cultural knowledge, context, and generative AI in translation, with particular interest in how culturally embedded meanings are mediated across languages and contexts.
