Prof. MEHMET AKİF OCAK

Dr.Ocak completed his undergraduate education (1998) in Ankara University, Faculty of Science in the field of Mathematics, and his master's degree (2002) and doctorate education (2006) in the field of Instructional Technology at the New York State University-Albany Faculty of Education. He taught in schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education between 1998-1999. He started to work as a Research Assistant at Gazi University, Gazi Education Faculty, Department of Computer Education and Instructional Technologies in 2006. He received the title of Assistant Professor in 2008, Associate Professor in 2012 and Professor in 2020 in the same department. He has attended to hundreds of local and foreign conferences and congresses; published articles, books; studied in projects in the field of Information Technologies and has held administrative positions. He is still working as a full time professor at Gazi University. His recent works focus on metaverse, robotics, coding and the internet of things. He is the editor-in-chief of the international Journal of Learning and Teaching in Digital Age.
